Independent Slip Resistance Test Results:
This test was performed in September 2010 by Precision Testing
Laboratories on worn, smooth, greasy/wet restaurant quarry tile, and
coated with water and Crisco brand shortening using Brungraber Mark II
Slip Tester according to ASTM Standard F1677.
*On a scale where 0.0 is the absence of
friction and 1.0 is very high friction (e.g. dry carpet), SFC rated 0.66
- more than doubling the 0.24 average of the competitors above.

What makes Shoes For Crews the most slip-resistant?
Our sole is created with a combination of a special rubber compound and tread design providing for maximum slip-resistance. The unique rubber compound grips the microscopic roughness of the floor surface, while the grid-pattern channels the liquids out from under the shoe sole.
Why are some soles more slip-resistant than others?
Different sole compounds and tread designs create different coefficients of friction. Therefore, some grip the floor better than others.
Are all 'safety shoes' slip-resistant?
No. Only those labeled slip-resistant. But just because it has that label doesn't mean you won't slip. To earn that label you only have to have a minimal degree of slip resistance.
Does 'oil-resistant' mean the same as slip-resistant?
No. Generally that refers to the shoe's upper material. However, our shoes are oil resistant as well as slip resistant on both wet and greasy or oily surfaces.
Are your soles guaranteed not to slip?
Please remember that NO sole is 100% slip-proof. It is important to combine Shoes For Crews with proper floor maintenance to achieve maximum slip and fall incident reduction.
